Madeline
Renwick
As
Co-Founder and Artistic Director of NoMi LaMad Dance, Inc., Madeline
has been able to span her teaching and choreography across the
boundaries of many dance genres and styles. Having grown up
and trained in St. Charles, IL, Madeline went on to further her studies
with Larry Long and Birute Barodicaite at the Ruth Page Center for the
Arts and in New York City through the Joffrey Ballet. She has
been dancing professionally for over ten years and has performed works
by Lizzie MacKenzie, Elijah Gibson, Autumn Eckman, Paul Christiano, and
Ron deJesus. With NoMi LaMad and Co-Founder, Laura Kariotis,
Madeline dances, directs, and choreographs works that are performed in
both self-produced concerts as well as festivals throughout
Chicago. In 2009, Madeline was awarded the Dance Chicago
Outstanding Choreography (New Voice) Award for her works submitted to
the festival. In addition to working with NoMi
LaMad, Madeline also teaches throughout the Chicagoland and southern
Wisconsin areas. |
