Nutcracker Auditions

11:00 am - Ages 5-6
12:00 pm - Ages 7-8
1:00 pm - Ages 9-11
2:00 pm - Ages 12 and up
3:00 pm - Adults

All students must wear ballet attire for the auditions. Girls must have their hair in a bun.
Please pre-register for the audition by calling State Street Dance Studio at 630-232-0444.
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your audition time.
The cast list will be posted at State Street Dance Studio and on this website on Sunday, August 31.


General Information for Nutcracker Participants
All dancers participating in The Nutcracker must be registered for class at State Street through Term I (August 25-October 18) and Term II (October 22-December 13).
There will be a manditory orientation meeting on Saturday, September 6 at 2:00 pm. Each cast member must attend with at least one parent.
The performances will be held at Norris Cultural Arts Center in St. Charles on December 20 & 21 (exact times TBA).
There will be tech and dress rehearsals on December 17, 18 & 19. TECH AND DRESS REHEARSALS ARE MANDITORY!
Rehearsals will be on Sundays between the hours of 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm from September 7 through December 14, excluding November 30. ALL REHEARSALS ARE MANDITORY! Times may very depending on the roles the dancer is cast in.
The participation fee is $275 per student. This fee covers the cost of costume rental and rehearsal time.
Class attendance will be monitored during the rehearsal period. Students with poor class attendance may be dismissed from the cast.
Dancers that are not available for all rehearsal dates will not be considered for this performance.
